JOINT SESSION
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
AND
ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
AUGUST 25, 1986
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in joint session with
the Orange County Planning Board on August 25, 1986, 7:30 p.m. in
Superior Courtroom; Orange County courthouse, Hillsborough, North
Carolina.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Don Willhoit and Commissioners
Shirley Marshall, Moses Carey, Ben Lloyd and Norman Walker.
PLANNING BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Barry Jacobs. (The members
were notified that the meeting would be continued because of a lack of a
quorum) .
ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill.
STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Kenneth R. Thompson, Clerk to the
Board Beverly A. Blythe and Planning Director Marvin Collins.
Chair Willhoit called the meeting to order. He announced that
because of a lack of a quorum of the Planning Board members, the meeting
would not be held as scheduled.
Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner
Marshall to continue the Joint Public Hearing to September 16, 7:30 p.m.
in the Courtroom of the old Post Office, Chapel Hi11, North Carolina.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS.
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
