PURPOSE. To consider changes to the landfill tipping ree wbedWe to take effect July 1, 1998
BACKGROUND: The Lmdfill Owners' Croup haz recommended to its member governing boards
that the tipping fes for mixed wlid warm (M3W) and conatmction and demolition (C@D)
maerials be increased to $38 ptt ton, effective 1Wy 1, 1998. All oNer fees would remain et their

Under terms of the 19]2landfill egrcement between Orange Cowry and Ne Towre of Chapel Hill
and Carrboro, all fees must be approved by each ofthe tbree boards. If WI three boards do not agree

RECOMMENDATION(S): The Managtt mcommwds that [he Board approve tipping fees of
$38.00 per ran for mixed solid waste, and 538.00 per ton for constmcfion aM demolition materials,
with fee changes m take effect 1WY 1,1996.
