PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, August 26, 1998 commemorates lM1e Sevenrycighth anniversary of

local assembly halls throughout the country: and

one s right and duty to vote;
NOW THEREFORE, me orange County Board of Commissioners hereby
proclaims Wednesday, August 26, as Women'S Equality Day in commemoration of the
soHrage vlmory won by women, and hereby urges woman and all citizens to exercise
Nair right to vote, and commends Ne Commiselon for Womw for iu eonhnuiog efforts
towards one day gaining full equality for women.
