PURPOSE: To consider approving the renewal of a lease for Graham Building, located at
118 N. Churtpn Street, Hillsborough through June 30, 2001,
BACKGROUND: The County has leased the Graham Building from Hillsborough Savings Bank
since 1991.
Approximately 785 square feet of space is assigned to the Veteran's Office , the Literary
Council and the JTPA program.
The terms of renewal include a 2 5% Increase annually for the three -year renewal term. All
other terms and donations remain the same.
Funding is available in the Rents and Insurance amount
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board approve the three -year
renewal of the Graham Building lease as presented and authorize the Chair to sign on behalf
of the Board.
NORTH CAROLINA
COUNTY OFORANGE LEASE AGREEMENT RENEWAL
WHEREAS a lease agreement was made and entered into as of the seventh day of October,
1991, thy and between the County of Orange. (County) and Hillsborough Savings Bank
(Landlord) for space to be used as offices for County at 118 North Churton Street, Hillsborough,
North Caroline;
WHEREAS , the County and the Landlord mutually agree to the following:
1. The lease renewal will be continued for a period of three years commencing on
July 1, 1998 and ending at 12:00 midnight on June 30, 2001,
2. Effective July 1, 1998, the COUNTY agrees to pay to the LANDLORD at the office of
the IANDLORD or at such other place designated by the LANDLORD, guaranteed
rental amount as follows:
July 1, 1998 -June 30, 1999: SSW per month ($7,21Y) per annum)
July 1 .1999 -June 30,2000: 1615 per month (Si per annum)
July 1, 2000 - June 30, 2001 $830 per month ($],580 per annum)
