PURPOSE: To amend Policy #430 "Procedure for Local Travel Expense
Reimbursement" to reflect the increase in local travel allowance.
BACKGROUND: The mileage rate reimbursement for use of personal vehicle
related to County business was increased on July 1, 1998 to 31 cents
per mile which is the federal rate. Policy #430 adopted on September
18, 1990 and amended on March 20, 1991 and August 4, 1993 set the local
travel for the Chair of the County Commissioners at $90.00 and for the
County Commissioners at $65.00 per month.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve increasing the local travel for the Chair to
$120 per month and for the County Commissioners to $90 per month.
