PURPOSE: To consider for approval the regular meeting schedule for the
Board of County Commissioners for calendar year 1999.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a
schedule of regular meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board
of County Commissioners. The schedule must show the date, time and place
of each meeting. The Calendar reflects one meeting with each of the towns
of Hillsborough and Carrboro. Chapel Hill will give us a date at a later
time. Two joint meetings will be held with the two school boards. All
meetings will begin at 7 :30 p.m. with the exception of February 20, April
24, August 28 and December 4. These Saturday meetings will begin at 9:00
a.m. The June 8th budget work session will begin at 5:00 and end at
10 :00 P.M.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Calendar
for 1999.
