BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule must show the date, time and place of each meeting. The Calendar reflects one meeting with each of the towns of Hillsborough and Carrboro. Chapel Hill will give us a date at a later time. Two joint meetings will be held with the two school boards. All meetings will begin at 7 :30 p.m. with the exception of the June 8 budget work session which begins at 5:00 and ends at 10:00 and the December 11 retreat which begins at 9:00 and ends at 4:00. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Calendar for 1999 as presented.
