SPECIAL MEETING
December 8, 1983
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in Special Session on
Thursday, December 8, 1983 at 1:45 p.m. in the Commissioners Room of the
Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Commissioners Present: Don Willhoit, Chairman, and Commissioners Ben
Lloyd, Shirley Marshall, Norman Walker and Richard Whitted.

Upon a presentation from Dr. Hugh Liner and a recommendation from the
North Carolina State University Agricultural. Extension Service relative to
a Chairman for the Orange County Agricultural Extension Service,
Commissioner Walker moved, Commissioner Lloyd seconded, the acceptance of
the recommendation of the North Carolina State University Agricultural
Extension Service of Mr. William Mainous as County Chairman with the county
paying the share as recommended by the state. This appointment becomes
effective on February 1, 1984. VOTE: UNANIMOUS
With no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
