Advisory Council Gommissivncr Earnes discussed the possibilities of filling the existing three vacancies or; the C. E.T. A. Advisory Council by soliciting nominations rrom the Chamber of Commerce of someone 'in a husiness position and dis~.:ussi;r9 ~:;ith liiVC personnel and/or UNC administration a representative of the University tc serve on the Council. She mentioned someone fro:',. ti;e public education field had ex.p•ressed a willingness to serve also. Agenda Tte;n ~8: CETA Contract Am~nrJme;~l;s The CETA Director er.plained the amendment to Title II-B, Contract No. 1-950;C-9-J-0100, enables CETA to use unspi:rrc funds for additional classrocra training in the areas of basic education, job readir'ress and sF:ill training and that the amendment to Title IV, YE7P, Contract ivo. 7.-G5007-9-J-0100, devbligates X23,000 for a special youth grant which was nit used in ti;e first t~•io quarters. He explained •the funds will be returned to the County's contract should the County need - them before Septer~rber 30, 1979.
