PURPOSE: To consider changing the location of Board of Commissioners' meetings from the
Central Orange Senior Center in Hillsborough to the DSS Building (Department of Social
Services Building), Hillsborough Commons, in Hillsborough, N.C., starting March 2, 2010.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular
meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule
must show the date, time and place of each meeting.
It is suggested that meetings taking place from March 2010 through December 2010 and
currently scheduled to occur at the Central Orange Senior Center in Hillsborough, NC take
place at the DSS (Department of Social Services) Building (Old Wal-Mart building), Hillsborough
Commons, 103 Mayo Drive, Hillsborough, N.C., beginning March 2, 2010
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the meeting
location change from the Central Orange Senior Center in Hillsborough to the DSS Building
(old Wal-Mart building), Hillsborough Commons, 103 Mayo Drive, Hillsborough, N.C., starting
March 2, 2010.
