BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from Joint Orange Chatham Community Action (JOCCA) to fill their vacant position with a B.O.C.C. representative or a community representative. At the October 6, 2009 meeting, Dr. Iheoma Iruka was appointed and she now resides in Durham County, but works in Orange County. Therefore, she is ineligible to serve on the JOCCA board as the community representative. JOCCA has indicated to staff that they would like a BOCC member to be appointed to this Board if at all possible. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one appointment to Joint Orange Chatham Community Action (JOCCA).
