Orange County Public Library
Resolution
Whereas the Orange County Board of Commissioners has long
recognized the vital role that libraries play in the life of a community, and
Whereas the BOCC, in the midst of difficult economic challenges, has
preserved and enhanced library services by keeping all branch libraries
open, approving additional professional library staff positions, and
committing to raising the per capita expenditures for county libraries to
at or above the state level:
Therefore be it resolved that the Friends of the Orange County
Public Library express its sincere gratitude and appreciation for the
Board of Commissioners' enduring commitment to supporting library
services for all Orange County citizens.
