BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule must show the date, time and place of each meeting. All meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the final schedule of regular meetings for the year 2010. Cameron St., Hillsborough O=Central Orange Senior Center, 515 Meadowland Drive, Hillsborough S=Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Rd., Chapel Hill 1-Oct-09 O:\BOCC Meeting Calendar\2010\Draft text calendar FOR YEAR 2010.doc Suggested Changes to the BOCC DRAFT Meeting Calendar for 2010 The following are suggested changes from Commissioner Gordon to the draft calendar: (THESE HAVE NOT BEEN ADDED TO CALENDAR UNTIL APPROVED) • Suggestion to change the location of the January 28t" work session from Hillsborough to Chapel Hill (Southern Human Services Center) to help balance the number of meetings in Hillsborough and Chapel Hill • Move meetings: Primary Election Day (May 4t") to May 6t" Thursday) and Election Day (November 2nd) to November 4tn (Thursday) • It has been suggested that there are too many meetings in April - the Joint meetings (Schools and JPA) have already been confirmed and cannot be moved; the Board may want to move the attorney's evaluation (April 22nd) back to the 4t" week in March -Tuesday, March 23rd Additional suggested closed sessions for Manager's evaluation: (THESE HAVE NOT BEEN ADDED TO CALENDAR UNTIL APPROVED) • January 26t" (7:OOpm) • October 7t" (7:OOpm)
