has requested the Planning Staff meet with Mr. Nunn and attempt to design '
a buffer between the proposed rezoned site and other property in the area.
Eddie Kirk, from the Planning Staff, stated that a 60 foot right of
way would be dedicated running down the property line of Mr. Nurin. This
property is densely wooded and Mr. Nunn has agreEd that ~yegetation would
be maintained in the 50 foot set back area, as shown on the plat.
Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit,
it was moved and adopted to approve the rezoning request of T. E. Nunn, Jr.
with the. 50 foot set back requirements.
Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit,
it was then moved and adopted that the rezoning request lee approved upon
•-.- the condition that the minor subdivision plat is approved by the Planning
staff.
The Acting Planning Director introduced to the Board Br2an Benson,
a new planner in the Planning Department.
M. Minis informed the Board that the Planning Board was anxious to go
to work on a Countywide Zoning Ordinance. They are proposing to establish
a task force far this purpose.
The Board of Commissioners asked that the Planning Board wait before
initiating such action.
Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissio er Willhoit,

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Orange County, under the provisions of the Compre-
hensive Employment and Training Act of 1973, entered
into a contract establishing a Consortium far the
purpose o1' implementing the Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act of 1973; and
I4HEREAS, Under the providions of said Contract, Durham-Orange
Employment and Training Service is charged with the
responsibility of providing job training and employ--
ment opportunities fox economically disadvantaged,
unemployed and under--employed persons, and to insure
that training and other sexvices lead to maximum
employment opportunities; and
in7HEREAS, On September 30, 1978, the Durham-Orange Employment
and Training Consortium. Agreement shall expire.
NOTr7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT on P?onday, Z~'Say 1, 1978, the
Orange County Board of Commissioners did unanimously
appxove the extension of the current Durham--Orange
Employment and Training Consortium Agreement fox one
year, and extending from October I, 1978 to September 34,
1979.
