PURPOSE: Organization of the Board
BACKGROUND: G. S. 153A -39 provides for the election of a chair and
states that he or she is chosen "for the ensuing year ". The Board
shall elect a chair and vice -chair from its members.
The County Commissioners' "Rules of Procedure" provides for the
designation of a voting delegate for all NCACC and NACo meetings for
the calendar year December 1, 1998 -1999.
RECOMMENDATION: Proceed to elect a Chair and Vice -chair and designate a
voting delegate as stated above.
