BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along these roads have petitioned NC DOT to accept the maintenance responsibilities for Lake Court and Raineywood Drive. NC DOT has investigated this request (see attached Secondary Road Addition Reports) and has submitted petitions for the addition of Lake Court and Raineywood Drive to the Board of Commissioners for their review and approval. The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State - maintained Secondary Road System.
