ORANGE COUNTX BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
NOVEMBER 29, 1976
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session
on Monday, November 29, 1976, at 7:30 p. m., in the Superior Courtroom
of the Courthouse in Hillsborough. The purpose of this meeting was a
public hearing of planning and zoning matters. ,._
Commissioners present wera Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners
Jan Pinney, Richard Whitted, and Norman Walker.
Commissioner Norman Gustaveson was absent.
Planning Board members present were Chairman Charlie Johnston,
Jean Anderson, and Leon Yates.
Other present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager, Ervin Dobson,
Planning Director, Chris Edwards and Kathy Hoffer from the Planning
Staff.
Chairman Garrett called the meeting to order and then turned the
public hearing over to the Chairman of the Orange County Planning Board,
Charlie Johnston.

After the adjournment of this meeting the Orange County Board of
Commissioners reconvened as the Board of Commissioners to select members
fxom the Board to serve on a task force with representatives fxom the
Orange Water-Sewer Authority, and representatives from the Cane Creek
Conservation Authority. Selected to serve were Commissioners Jan Pinney, -
Richard Whitted and newly elected Commissioner Don Willhot.
The meeting was then adjourned.
