ORANGE COUNTX BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
August 31,'1976
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special
session on Tuesday, August 31, 1976, at 7:30 p.m., in the Superior
Courtroom of the Courthouse in Hillsborough. The purpose of this
meeting was a public hearing concerning proposed Zoning Amendments
to the Zoning'Ordinance for the Townships of Eno and Chapel Hill.
Commissioners present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners
Norman Gustaveson, Jan Pinney, Richard Whitted and Norman Walker.
Planning Board members present were Chairman Charlie Johnston,
Dr. Robert Bonar, Jean Anderson and Marilyn Riddle.
Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager, Neal Evans,
Finance Director; Jeff Gledhill, County Attorney, Ervin Dobson,
Planning Director; Chris Edwards, Hal Minis, and Kathy Hoffer, members
of the Orange County Planning Staff.
Chairman Garrett called the meeting to order and then turned
the public hearing over to the Chairman of the Orange County Planning
Board, Charlie Johnston.

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
September 7, 1976
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met on September 7, 1976
in the Commissioners Room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough, N. C.
Members present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners Norman
Gustaveson Jan Pinney, and Norman Walker.
Member absent was Commissioner Richard Whitted.
'Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Administrator; Neal Evans,
Finance Director; Jeff Gledhill, County Attorney; and Betty June Hayes,
Clerk.
The Chairman opened the meeting by asking if there were persons
present who were not on this Agenda and who did have business to trans-
. - act with this Berard.
Mr. Donald Roberts, from the Orange County Agriculture Stablization
and Conservation Office (ASC Office) stated that he and Messrs. Glover
and Owners were present to request a meeting with the Board of Commis-
sioners in regard to space in the Agriculture Building.
The Chairman stated that the Commissioners needed to schedule
several meetings today, one in particular was in regard to Title XX
Contracts. Also, she felt thebe should be some discussion with the
County Manager in regard to the space request in the Agriculture Build-
ing and the Public Works Program.
