SUBJECT: Change in BOCC Re ular Meeting Schedule for 2009

PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2009.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule by:
• Adding a meeting (closed session) on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 5:30pm at the Link
Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron Street, Hillsborough NC for the
purpose of "to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness,
conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public
officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee" NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6).
This meeting will take place prior to the BOCC Work Session at 7:OOpm at Link
Government Services Center
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting
calendar for 2009 by:
Adding a meeting (closed session) on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 5:30pm at the Link
Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron Street, Hillsborough NC for the
purpose of "to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness,
conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public
officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee" NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6).
