MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
April 15, 1976
The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met at 6:3p
p.m. in special session at the Colonial Inn with members of the Orange
County Social Services Board.
All members were present.
This meeting was held for the purpose of giving preliminary con-
- sideration to a proposed budget for the Orange County Social Services
Agency for the 1976 - 1977 fiscal year.
Mr. Tom Ward, Social Services Director, reviewed the proposed
budget with the County Commissioners and pointed out areas of signi-
ficant increase or change.
•~ At the conclusion of Mr. Ward's presentation the Board of Commis-
sioners agreed to giving the proposal preliminary appro+ral for purposes
of sending the document on to the State Social Services Agency. This
document however would be accompanied by a letter pointing out the fact
that this budget was considered by the Board of Commissioners at this
time only to comply with provisions of the State Law requiring County
consideration by April 15th. The Board of County Commissioners in no
way considers this preliminary endorsement binding and that the budget

MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
April 16, 1976
The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in
Efland at the Multi-Purpose Center at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 16,
1976.
Members Present: Chairman Flora Garrett and Commissioners Richard
Whitted, Norman Gustaveson and Jan Pinney.
Commissioner Norman Walker was absent.
This meeting was held for the purpose of inspecting some of the
secondary roads in the Efland Area. Mr. Earl Hoover, Assistant Division
Highway Engineer, Mr. Sam Jones, District Engineer and Mr. Steve Chappel,
County Maintenance Superintendent were also present and went on the road
inspection tour.
The group inspected State Road numbers: 1313, 1314, 1315, 1316,
and 1378, and agreed to discuss the classification of these roads with
the State Secondary Roads Council when they meet with' this agency in May.
