STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION
SERVICES
This Agreement made and entered into by and between the County of Orange, on behalf
of its Solid Waste Department, herein referred to as "County" and Tommy Lawrence
Electrical Construction Inc., herein referred to as "Contractor".
WHEREAS, the County wishes to contract with the Contractor for the installation of
lights at the Walnut Grove, Solid Waste Collection Center at 3605 Walnut Grove Church
Road, Hillsborough, NC, and
WHEREAS, the Contractor wishes to provide these services,
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed as follows:
1. TERM: This Agreement, unless amended as provided herein, shall be in effect
from the date of execution of this Agreement, until December 14, 2007. The
work shall be substantially complete on or before December 7, 2007 and
completed and ready for final payment on or before December 14, 2007.
2. DUTIES OF CONTRACTOR: The Contractor shall construct the lighting in
accordance with the attached Plans and specifications contained in ORANGE
COUNTY BID NO. 1516.
3. DUTIES OF COUNTY: The County shall pay the Contractor for completion of
the Work a total amount not to exceed a lump sum payment of $26,722.00 for
the services as set forth in the attached, plans and specifications.
4. BILLING AND PAYMENT: The Contractor shall submit an Application for
Payment on a monthly basis. The Contractor shall submit a Certificate of Final
Payment.
5. CHANGES IN THE WORK: Agreement may be amended only in writing by
mutual agreement of the County and Contractor.
6. INSURANCE PROVISIONS: The Contractor shall have the following
insurance coverage:
Worker's Compensation -Coverage to apply for all employees for
statutory limits in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
The policy must include employer's liability with a limit of $100,000
for each accident, $100,000 bodily injury by disease each employee
and $500,000 bodily injury by disease policy limit.
