October 21, 1974
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in joint session with the members
of the Orange County Planning Board on Monday, October 21, 1974, at 8 o'clock
p.m. in the Superior Courtroom of the Courthouse in Hillsborough, N. C.
Members Present: Chairman Norman Walker, Commissioners Flora Garrett, Henry
5. Walker, Melvin Whitfield, and Richard E. Whitted.
Members absent: None.
Chairman Norman Walker opened the duly advertised Public Hearing by
requesting that Clayton Haithcock read the Notice of the scheduled Public Hearing.
Said meeting had been scheduled for the purpose of hearing the rezoning
request that had been filed by David Reed and Calvin Mellott on twenty (20)
acres of land located in Chapel Hill Township, and shown on Tax Map 18, lot
6-A from its present classification to General Industrial classification.
For the minutes of this Public Hearing you are hereby referred to the Minute
Docket of the Orange County Planning Board.
There being no further business to come before the Public Hearing the
meeting was adjourned.

November 4, 1974
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday,
November 4, 1974, at ten o'clock a. m. in the Commissioners Room at the
Courthouse in Hillsborough, N. C.
Members Present: Chairman Norman Walker, and Commissioners Flora Garrett,
Henry Walker, and Melvin Whitfield.
Members Absent: Commissioner Richard E. Whitted.
Chairman Walker stated that this was the time and date of the Public
Hearing on the 1974-1975 Secondary Road Improvement Program.
F. D. riornaday, R. H. Broome, 5. H. Jones, Earl Hoover and John Watkins,
Representatives of the State Board of Transportation were present.
