PHASE I SCOPE OF VtrORK:
It is our understanding that a number of departments presently located in
the existing building will be relocated into a new facility, and that, prior to

A. PROGRAMMING PHASE
Y E A R s Based on interviews ar,d meetings with a representative for each
department, Kee will provide a narrative defining each department
in terms of staffing requirements, location and adjacency

The proposed desio 1 fee for the programming phase is $2,700.

B. SPACE PLANI~TING
Based on the information gathered for the program, the will. provide floor plan layouts
for each department within the existing building's footprint. Consideration of an
addition to the buiidutg is not anticipated at this time.
The cost for this part of the work includes the following:
1. ~ [nvestigation of existutg layout and production of CADD drawings of the 1st
and 2nd floor plans.
2. Development of floor plan layouts and presentation to the departmental
committee for review and comment.
3. Revision of floor plans, production of cost estimates for the County's use in
establishing a project budget based on the approved layout, and production of
design and construction schedule.
4. Presentation of findings to Board of County Commissioners for approval, if
required.
The proposed design fee for the space planning is $12,000.
C. TOTAL FEE:
The total fee proposed for the Programming and Space Planning in Phase I is $1,700.
PHASE II:
The work in Phase II will commence after review and approval of the initial work and
will be outlined in a separate design proposal letter in the future. Phase II would. consist
of the Construction Documents necessary for bicding and renovating the existing
building.

combined efforts a few years ago led to the successful completion and occupancy of the Link
Government Services Center, and we look for~~ard to the opportunity to assist in adapting this
valuable facility to today's changing needs.
