BACKGROUND: Mr. Tom Dugard, Jr., from United Way asked that the County Commissioners proclaim May 9-15 as Information and Referral Awareness Week. In an effort to educate the community about the services provided by Information and Referral agencies, the Triangle United Way's InfoGnc has organized "Community Information Days" in Durham, Orange and Wake Counties. In Orange County this will be held on Monday, May 10 at the Chapel Hill Public Library. Governor Hunt has proclaimed the week of May 9-15 as Information and Referral Awareness Week. We would like to have that week recognized by Orange County. Enclosed you will find a copy of the governor's proclamation as well as Cumberland County's proclamation. In an effort to educate the community about the services provided by Information and Referral agencies the Triangle United Way's Infolinc has organized "Community Information Days" in Durham, Orange, and Wake Counties. The following is an outline of dates and locations: Monday, May 10 -Chapel Hill Public Library -Library Drive (off Estes Drive) Tuesday, May 11-Durham County Public Library -Main Library Thursday, May 13 -Wake County Public -Cameron Village Friday, May 14 -Lincoln Community Health Center -Durham We thank you for your support in this effort.
