PURPOSE: To consider a petition from NCDOT for approval of the addition of Trail Drive in
Cheeks Township to the state-maintained secondary road system.
BACKGROUND: NCDOT has investigated Trail Drive and submitted a petition for addition of
the road to the Board of Commissioners for their review and approval (see attached Secondary Road
Addition Report).
The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for their deliberation
on acceptance of the road to the state-maintained secondary road system.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None for Orange County.
RECOMMENDATON(S): The Administration recommends approval of the addition of Trail
Drive to the state-maintained secondary road system.
