PURPOSE: To respond to the draft format and content of a revised evaluation instrument for the County
Manager.
• BACKGROUND: Dr. Kurt Jenne of the Institute of Government has prepared a draft of an evaluation
instrument for the Board's review and comment. He has a list of questions for the BOCC's response that
will be helpful to he and the County Manager in developing a final draft for the BOCC's final review and
approval after the summer break.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: No additional financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the BOCC respond to Dr. Jenne with regard
to his request for specific changes and additions to the initial draft as presented.
