BACKGROUND: The clerk's office has received recommendations from the Historic Preservation Commission for Tom Allison and Todd Dickinson. If reappointed Mr. Allison will be serving his second full term expiring 3/31/2012. If reappointed Mr. Dickinson will be serving his first full term ending 3/31/2012. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. Both were members of the original HPC from the 1990s and have an understanding of the history of the HPC, its mission, and its work on previous projects. Mr. Allison brings his considerable knowledge of local history to the commission. Mr. Dickinson is the President of Dickinson Restorations, Inc., a contracting firm specializing in preservation and restoration and will bring his considerable knowledge of architectural history and historic building technology to the commission. Both have maintained good attendance records (see enclosure), and have agreed to serve second terms. Please convey this to the Board of Commissioners for their consideration in March, to prevent any gaps in our membership. The HPC will continue its recruitment efforts to bring in new candidates who meet the Certified Local Government criteria.
