BACKGROUND: The Housing and Community Development Department solicited bids from qualified housing rehabilitation contractors participating in the County's Housing Rehabilitation Program. Sealed bids were solicited from participating contractors on June 29, 1999. The informal bidding process is governed by the North Carolina General Statues §143 -131 and does not require a minimum number of bids. Bid results are attached. Present program procedures provide that housing rehabilitation contracts be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this program is provided by the HOME Investment Partnership Program. Install vinyl ;nor covering, metal trim and shoemold. Vinyl allowance to be $14 /yd. 6. Install kitchen cabinets with factory finish wood fronts. Install the same lineal footage as the existing cabinets. Install formica counter top with .-olied backsplash. Install five foot of additional base cabinets. 7. Install colonial style baseboard. S.
