The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County mat in special session
as a Board of Equalization and Review at 3:DO o~clock P.M, on Friday, June
29, 1973.
Members Present: Chairman C, Norman Walker and Commissioners Henry 8.
Walker, Flora R. Garrett and Richard ~n'hitted,
Members Absent: None.
The Board heard the following cases:

There being no further business to come before the Board of Equalization and
Review the meeting was adjourned,
Chairman Trlalker then re-convened the meeting as a Board of County Commissioners.
Upvn motion of Commissioner Henry S, Walker, seconded by Commissioner Richard
5, Whin ed, it was moved and adopted, that Mrs, Annie Strayhorn, T, Edmond Latta
and Miranda McPherson be appointed as members to the County Council qn the Aging.
Upon motion of Commissioner Henry "~. Walker, seconded by Commissioner
C, Norman Walker, it was moved and adopted, that Bonnie Davis, Watts Hi11 and,
Carl Smith, be appointed as members to the Hospital Planning Council.
Upon motion of Commissioner Richard E. Whitted, seconded by Commissioner
Flora Garrett, it was moved and adopted, that the Board authgrize Chairman
Walker to accept, on behalf of the County, a Federal Grant of $21,357 to be
augmented with local .funds of $7,119 which, combined will provide a budget of
$28,!}76 to fund the County Council on the Aging,
There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting waa
adjourned.
