RE: RECOMMENDED APPOINTEES TO THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
The Orange County Commission for Women (CFW) held a meeting on Thursday, June
13, 2008, and one of the actions taken by the CFW was to make recommendations for
appointment to the CFW. Thus, the CFW requested that application of the following resident be
submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration: Stephanie Poole.
The Commission for Women is committed to increasing the diversity, of Commission
members and committed to preserving a geographical balance of representation whenever
possible. In addition, all of the applicants have voiced an active interest in advocating for
women, improving the quality of life for women in Orange County and a willingness and ability
to attend the Commission's meetings and participate in its projects.
