MINUTES o~ THE oRANGE covNTY BOARD o>• corrnllsszoNERs November 29, 1971 The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County mat in the Commissioners Room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough at 2 o~clock P,M. do Monday, November 2q, 1971, in adjourned session. Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Sennett and Commissioners Henry S, Walker and WS,lliam C. Ray. Members Ali sent: Commissioners Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker. _~ - W. P, Hupman, oY the Mebane Industry Development Commission, Clem Mosley, --of the Burlington Chamber vY Commerce and Mr. Coleman of Daniels Construction Company were also present. This meet~,ng wag held for the purpose of discussing with Representatives present the possibility of Orange County extending its water and sewer liaas to provide services to a proposed plant in the Industrial Park area. The coat of extending these Psailitiea is estimated to be between $30,000 to $35,000. Discussion ensued. Chairman Bennett requested Mr. Coleman to disausa, with his principal, the,poasibility oP their paying a portion oP the coat for these facilities. There being no further business to some before the Board the meeting wsa adjourned, to meet again on Tuesday, November 30, 1971. Harvey D. Bennett, Chairman S, M, Gattis, Acting Clerk MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS November 30, 1971 The Board of County Coam4i.gaionera of Orange County met in adjourned session in the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough on Tuesday, November 30, 1971, at 8:00 o~aloak P,M. Members Present: Chairman Haz+acey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray, Henry $, .Walker, Ira A, Ward and C. Norman Walker. Members Absent: None F ~ This meeting wee held Por the purpose oY discussing the possibility of extending water and sewerage lines in the Mebane area to an industry who was desirous of locating on a treat oY land just Weat of the Peaahea N Cream plant. The Board agreed that they ware interested in having the proposed plant locate on this site, however, it was their opinion that the County could not vary from its previous policy of charging Pour hundred dollars ($1}00.00) per line for the water and sewerage tap Yee. It was the consensus of the Board that the proposed industry was willing to pay the tap fee which would help defray s portion oP the cost of extending the linea.,then the County would be willing to approve the necessary extension. .y` There being no further business to acme before the Board the meeting was adjourned.
