M. in the Courtroom of the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray, Henry S. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker. - Members Absent: None Chairman Bennett called the meeting to order and then turned the chair over to Charles W. Johnston, Chairman of the Cauatq Planning Board. Chairman Johnston proceeded to conduct the public hearing. For the minutes of the meeting of the Orange County Planning Board see the minute docket oP that Board. At the conclusion of. the public hearing Chairman Johnston turned the chair back to Chairman Bennett. Chairman Sennett then declared the public hearing adjourned. Chairman Bennett advised the other members of the Board that a Commieaionera meeting would be held in the Commissioners room. The Board reviewed the proposed 1971-2972 budget. There being no further business to some before the Board the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Wednesday, July 7.L~, 1971, at 8:00 o'aloak P. Gattis, Acting Clerk MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Julq ].J~, 1971 The Board of County Commissioners oP Orange County met in adjourned session in the Commissioners Roam oP the Courthouse in Hillsborough at 8:00 o~oloak P.M, on Wednesday, Julq 1l~, 1971. Members Present: Chairman Rarvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray, Henry S. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker. Members Absent: None This meeting was held for the purpose oP discussing and reviewing the 1971- 1972 budget. The Board oonaidered the school appropriations request and salaries of emplogees. It was agreed that after reviewing the entire budget situation that there was a possibility that the current tax rata would have to be established at $1.27 per one hundred dollar valuation. No cation was taken on any oP the budget matters. There being na further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned to meat again on Thursday, Julq 22, 1971, Por the duly advertised public hearing on the quest3.on of the One Cent Local Option Sa1ea Tea.
