Upon motion of Commissioner William C. Ray, seconded by Commisaioner Henry
S. Walker, it was moved and adopted, that Chairman Bennett be authorized to sign
the following documents: A Protect Measures Work Plan Agreement with the Orsnge
Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Soil Conservation Service, USDA,
A Project Measures Agreement and An Operation and Maintenance Agreement for
sediment atruoture #~3 with the Soil Conservation Service, USDA.
There being no further business to coma before the Board the meeting was
adjourned to meet again on Monday, June 28, 1971.

The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met in adjourned session
at 10:00 o~clock A.M, on Monday, June 28, 1971, in the basement of the Orange
Savings & Loan Building in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. i
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Sennett, and Commissioners William C.
Ray, Henry 3. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker.
Members Absent: Nona '
Chairman Bennett announced that this meeting was being held for the purpose
oP meeting with the County Housing Authority. For a record of the proceedings
of this session you are hereby referred to the minutes of the Orange County i
Housing Authority.
There being no further business to come before the $oard the meeting was
adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, June 29, 1971.

The Board oP County Commissioners of Orange County met in adjourned session I.
at 8:00 o~alock P. M. on Tuesday, June 29, 1971, in the Commissioners Room at the
Courthouse in Hillabarough, North Carolina.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C.
Rap, Henry S. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker.
Members Absent: Nona
The following members of the Chapel Hill City School Board were present:
Senneth Howard, Sam Holton, Fberett Billingsly, Marvin Silver, Mrs. Mary Seroggs
and Dr. Wilmer 3. Cody, Superintendent oP said unit.
_ Chairman Bennett recogni2ed Dr. Cody and Mra. Mary Scroggs. Theq presented
a Current ~nenae request oP $623,530 and a Capital Outlay request of $798,305•
It was cited that the Current Expense request would enable the Chapel Hill School
Board to maintain its current programs and also allow s modest aalary increase
for its aersonnel. i
